Does privacy window film work at night?
An honest explanation of one-way and reflective privacy films, and what to do for night-time privacy.

The short answer
Not on its own. Reflective and one-way films work on relative light levels. In daylight, when it is brighter outside, they limit the view in. After dark, when a room is lit inside, the effect reverses, so curtains or blinds may still be needed for night-time privacy.
What to do instead
Use frosted film where you need privacy around the clock, or pair reflective film with blinds or curtains for evenings.
