Residential window film

Privacy Window Film for Your Home

Privacy film can stop passers-by and neighbours seeing straight in, without permanent net curtains or blinds. There are two main families of privacy film, and they behave very differently.

Daytime privacy (reflective) film

Reflective films give a mirrored appearance from outside during the day while you keep your view out.

Reflective and one-way films work on relative light levels. In daylight, when it is brighter outside, they limit the view in. After dark, when a room is lit inside, the effect reverses, so curtains or blinds may still be needed for night-time privacy.

Frosted and obscure film

Frosted film diffuses the view in both directions, day and night. It is ideal for bathrooms, front doors, side windows and lower panes of street-facing bays, but you lose the clear view out where it is applied.

Combining films

A common approach is frosted film on the lower part of a window and clear or solar control film above, keeping light and sky views while blocking eye-level sightlines.

How it works

Send us photos and a few details. We discuss what you want the film to achieve, survey and measure suitable glazing, then professionally install the approved film internally, finishing with cleaning, care instructions and handover.
