Residential window film

Heat Reduction Window Film

Large glazed areas let in light, and also a lot of solar heat. Heat reduction film is designed to reduce the solar energy coming through the glass so rooms stay more comfortable when the sun is out.

Why glazed rooms overheat

Sunlight passing through glass warms surfaces inside the room. In modern extensions with roof lanterns and wide doors, that heat builds quickly and can make a space unusable on summer afternoons.

What film can and cannot do

Film helps with solar heat gain from direct sunshine. It is not a replacement for ventilation or air conditioning, and ordinary solar control film should not be thought of as winter insulation or a way to cut heating bills unless a specific approved product supports that.

Performance varies by film and by glazing. We only quote figures from the manufacturer specification of the film we recommend for your windows, after a survey.

Typical areas we treat

  • Roof lanterns and skylights
  • Bifold and patio doors
  • Conservatory roofs and side glazing
  • Top-floor and loft rooms

How it works

Send us photos and a few details. We discuss what you want the film to achieve, survey and measure suitable glazing, then professionally install the approved film internally, finishing with cleaning, care instructions and handover.
